Author William Federer has made national news for his controversial comments about homosexuals and Muslims. Now, he's in the spotlight over plans to speak later this week at Milford City Hall, a public chamber being rented by Milford Christian Academy.Dr. Karin Adeeb is an outspoken Muslim who says a public space, especially one in municipal headquarters, should not be a forum for somebody who's generally perceived as being hateful. Adeeb says those who want to preach hate should do it in their own church, not in City Hall.Pastor Jim Loomer, who rented the hall, says Federer doesn't hate anybody and merely intends to give a lecture on American history.City officials say they have to be consistent in renting the hall to the public and can't discriminate.
