Temperatures are cooler today than the past few days, with highs generally in the mid-40s this afternoon. Although a big departure from the mid-60s we saw on Monday and Tuesday, we're still seasonal with sun making it a pretty pleasant Thursday.
The first total lunar eclipse of the year is tonight. You'll see a bite out of the full moon starting just after 1 a.m. and the moon will begin to turn red and briefly disappear between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.. It's an incredible sight we have not seen in several years, but unfortunately there will be mostly cloudy skies so viewing conditions aren't perfect. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 30s.
Friday is warmer, with highs in the low to mid-50s and sunny skies return in the afternoon.
As we gear up for the weekend, it starts off nice, so enjoy your Saturday! Sunday isn't a total washout. The best part of the day will be the morning, but rain and wind will arrive in the afternoon. Gusts up to 40+ mph, so power outages will be something to monitor. Temperatures will be mild.
