Several correction officers were injured after an inmate allegedly assaulted staff at a Connecticut prison.
The incident happened Monday morning at Corrigan Correctional Center in Uncasville.
The union representing correction officers says the inmate involved is serving a sentence for manslaughter.
Officials have not said how many officers were injured or the extent of their injuries.
State officials say the incident is now being investigated by Connecticut State Police.
