Courthouses in Connecticut will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, officials say.
They did not say how they would handle certain arraignments and court hearings that must be held within 24 hours of an arrest.
Gov. Ned Lamont has signed an executive order allowing victims of domestic violence to file for orders of protection and restraining orders online because of the reduced hours and number of courthouses available.
Officials say the instructions will be posted on the state judicial website next week.
