As Connecticut prepares for another day of extreme temperatures, communities are advising residents to visit their cooling centers to get some relief. In Stamford, the government center and most fire stations are open to the public today and tomorrow for use as cooling centers. Milford is urging its residents to visit the senior center, library, or mall to keep cool.The Red Cross is reminding the public to avoid taxing activities and big meals, to stay hydrated, and to give special attention to pets, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
