A woman pulled from the Housatonic River on Aug. 1 by boaters and later pronounced dead has been identified as a 30-year-old with a last-known address in Fairfield.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says a paddleboarder, later identified as Alyssa MacKinnon, was brought to shore after boaters called for help.
MacKinnon was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
DEEP says the cause and manner of death will be determined by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
