Connecticut Democrats proposed limiting when insurance carriers can require pre-authorization for prescriptions and medical tests.
"One out of five physicians in the state of Connecticut are working about 35 hours a week to get prior authorization, either for your medications or your tests or your procedures," said state Sen. Saud Anwar.
Democrats also want to join other states in using the ArrayRx discount prescription drug program.
