? A Connecticut lawmaker and city leaders want to make sure a deadly Milford intersection gets a much-needed traffic light.
Connecticut House Speaker Jim Amman (D-Milford) says the fight is personal for him. A speeding driver hit and killed his 2-year-old brother when he lived near East Broadway and Shell Avenue in the 60s. Years later, another of Amman?s relatives was also hit and killed at the intersection.
Amman and residents want the state Department of Transportation to install a traffic light. The DOT already has plans to add two stop signs, but residents say that is not enough.
