Connecticut native and former Bridgeport Bluefish Adam Greenberg is finally getting another chance at the big leagues.
Greenberg was hit in the head on the first pitch in his only at bat for the Cubs in a 2005 game.
The beaning caused him to suffer from vertigo that took several years to recover from.
The Miami Marlins, the team that hit him, announced today they will sign Greenberg to a one-day contract on Oct. 2 and play him that day against the Mets.Greenberg says that he will donate his one-day salary to charity.
