Connecticut officials confirmed the first two flu deaths of the season.
Manisha Juthani, the Department of Public Health commissioner, said one person was in their 90s and the other was a 2-month-old baby.
The state’s health commissioner says it's important for people to take the flu vaccine for the 2024-25 respiratory viral disease season.
"A 2-month-old is not eligible for a vaccine, and it breaks my heart to hear that for that family of that newborn," said Dr. Juthani
