Former Vice President Joe Biden made his case Thursday to the American people to be the country's next president.
Biden has officially accepted his party's nomination with a speech to the Democratic National Convention.
Connecticut's delegates to the convention were not in Milwaukee as planned, but rather in Hartford to watch the speech.
About 100 delegates and politicians in Connecticut were at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford to watch Biden accept the Democratic nomination for president.
A spokesperson for the party says they thought Dunkin' Donuts Park would be a good idea since they can stay socially distant and abide by COVID-19 protocols.
Everyone will watch from a big TV on the infield. This is the first time this many members from the Democratic Party could be together for this in-person viewing party of the Democratic Convention.
Gov. Ned Lamont and Sen. Richard Blumenthal were in attendance.
