CT State Police holds memorial for K-9 killed in line of duty

The Connecticut State Police held a memorial service on Tuesday for K-9 Broko, who died in the line of duty on Dec. 21, 2023. 

The memorial was held at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. 

Broko was killed when state police were serving Vaughn Malloy with an arrest warrant in Stonington. 

Officers said when they arrived, Malloy refused to surrender and eventually opened fire, killing Broko. 

Malloy was subsequently shot and killed by state police.
