A hearing took place in Hartford Wednesday where the state Supreme Court was asked to decide whether the murder conviction against Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel should be reinstated.
Skakel was freed from prison in 2013 after spending more than 10 years behind bars for the 1975 murder of his Greenwich neighbor Martha Moxley.
A lower court ruled that Skakel's lawyer Michael Sherman did not give him a quality defense during his 2002 murder trial.
Prosecutors argued today that the defense followed a very specific and deliberate plan.
Skakel's lawyers say Sherman was more concerned with money than defending his client.
The state Supreme Court isn't expected to release its decision on the case for several months.
