Voters are heading to the polls statewide on Primary Day today to pick their Senate candidates for November. The hotly contested race has two candidates facing off for the Democrats and Republicans.

Voters are heading to the polls statewide on Primary Day today to pick their Senate candidates for November.
The hotly contested race has two candidates facing off for the Democrats and Republicans. Former wrestling executive Linda McMahon is facing off against former Bridgeport congressman Chris Shays on the Republican ticket. Rep. Chris Murphy is up against former Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz for the Democrats.
The race is for the Senate seat currently occupied by Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), who announced he wouldn't seek re-election.
