A ribbon-cutting was held for a new health care facility in the Bronx.
Mayor Bill de Blasio attended the ceremony Thursday in Mott Haven at the Damien Family Care Center on 3rd Avenue.
The facility opened as part of the mayor's Caring Neighborhoods Campaign.
The mayor says the new facility will do wonders for those in need of help.
Officials at the facility say it will serve 10,000 people in the community and expects at least 100,000 health care visits each year.
The cost of the center was allocated under the city's $20 million budget for new health centers.
