Easter provided a Darien nursery with a large spike in business.
Store employees at Nielsen's Florist and Garden Shop say that Easter Sunday is typically a busy day for them.
Florists say that Easter lilies are currently their best seller, although orchids are popular as well. They say customers also came in looking for flowers they can plant outside, such as pansies.
Employees say business picked up considerably once people left Mass Sunday afternoon and morning. Residents used Nielsen's as a one-stop shop, picking up candy and stuffed bunnies in addition to flowers.
