More than 500,000 ballots have already been cast ahead of Tuesday’s election due to early and absentee voting.
Of the 530,000 votes that have already been cast, more than 400,000 were absentee ballots sent in by mail and about 120,000 were the result of in-person early voting, which ended on Sunday.
Data shows that Democrats have more than twice as many early ballots as Republicans – 320,000 ballots to the GOP’s 126,000.
This is only a fraction of the total vote that will be cast, but for now, it appears as if Democrats have the advantage.
All seats in the New Jersey Legislature are on the ballot this year.
