4h agoA dress boutique event was held at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich Saturday.
The annual Handled with Care Dress Boutique event allowed people to select several dresses, jewelry, shoes and make up free of charge.
The annual event is hosted by Kids Helping Kids. Organizers say they had to cancel the event last year due to the pandemic.
The Handled with Care Dress Boutique project began in 2012 when current board secretary Allison Frattaroli went out shopping for a prom dress and realized how hard it must be for girls that could not afford to purchase a new dress.
News 12 is told that the event looks to give attendees the experience of shopping for a special occasion dress.
Over 200 people booked appointments throughout the day and walk-ins were welcome.
