The Bridgeport Police Hispanic Society kept up its tradition of celebrating Three Kings Day by distributing toys to local children.
Three Kings Day celebrates the arrival of the wise men bringing gifts to baby Jesus. There was a reenactment at Waltersville Elementary school.
Organizer Maria Valle says the celebration teaches children and their parents about the culture and the gift giving of the holiday.
"We want our children and their families to know that this is a community event, that there are so many individuals, so many sponsors involved in this day. It's not only one individual but there are many,” said Valle.
She also thanked all who donated toys for the event.
