Thursday's downpours and strong winds took out the power in some areas in Connecticut.

At its height, there were more than 1,600 outages in Fairfield and 55 in Orange.

As of 8:30 p.m., most of the outages have been restored. 

The rain has cleared out but there are still windy conditions.
