Westport police say a man who was driving drunk at four times the legal limit is facing charges today for that and for leaving the scene of an accident.
Police say George Dyer, 62, of Wallingford, turned himself in on Saturday.
They say that he hit a car and kept going on Jan. 21 on Hillspoint Road.
An officer says they found him later on Spicer Road, disoriented, off balance and reeking of alcohol.
They say the delay in the arrest was due to waiting for the results of a blood test.
Officers say it was .32, which is four times the legal limit.
