A narrow escape from serious injury for a driver who crashed on the Merritt Parkway after a tree falls on his car in Fairfield.
It happened this morning around 1 a.m. near exit 44.
The man was in a 2016 Honda Accord when a tree fell on his car.
He says the automatic braking safety system in the car stopped the vehicle before there was more damage.
The driver was able to walk away from the wreck.
