Rain and wind knocked down trees and swept debris throughout streets in southwestern Connecticut Friday, but no one was reported injured.
Local municipalities spent the day preparing for the chance of flash flooding.
Signs went up at various points warning drivers about "water on the road" along Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk. The city's Public Works Superintendent Chris Okafor said storm drains were cleared of debris in anticipation of a flash flood.
At the Noroton Heights Train Station in Darien, pumps were installed in the parking lot to keep rainwater from flooding the nearby road.
