A local man is recovering after witnesses say he was hit by a car in Stamford.
Witnesses say the incident happened Tuesday on Stillwater Avenue.
They say the man was intoxicated, and was trying to direct traffic in the middle of the street when he was struck.
After the man was hit, witnesses say they called an ambulance, and he was taken to the hospital.
No word on the severity of the man's injuries.
