Chuckles the state groundhog predicted an early spring this morning on Groundhog’s Day.
Chuckles was out at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester to bring the good news as the deep freeze that has gripped Western Connecticut begins to thaw.
Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania also predicted an early spring after not seeing his shadow this morning. Phil was welcomed by a crowd on Gobbler's Knob, about 65 miles from Pittsburgh.
The festival has been a tradition for many years.
