4h agoEast Haven police say they have identified a 1975 homicide victim as Patricia Meleady Newsom.
Police say her body was found in a drainage ditch on Frontage Road back in the 1970s.
They say Newsom's body was finally identified after a third attempt at exhumation. That was done at State Street Cemetery in Hamden where police say they had to find her unmarked grave.
Police contacted Newsom's sister. Now, they are trying to find the friend who she ran away with before she was never seen again.
