A top television executive and Easton resident is said to be in serious condition today after his Jeep plunged off a 50-foot cliff and landed upside down in a river.
The family of Paul Koopman says he was driving down a mountain in Beacon, New York, after working on nearby TV transmitters Friday morning when he lost control of his car.
They say after the Jeep slid off the cliff, first responders rushed to the scene on ATVs because an ambulance was unable to get up to the steep location.
Family members say Koopman had to be cut free and is being treated for serious head, shoulder, and arm injuries.
