Emergency crews across southwestern Connecticut ran a simulation Wednesday of a major ice storm to prepare for a worst-case scenario in the winter.
Officials say they want to improve communication, especially when it comes to restoring power and clearing downed trees.
The mock storm simulated nearly a million power outages.
