EMS, fire officials remind residents to clear snow away from fire hydrants

Fire and EMS officials are sending out an important safety reminder as Connecticut residents get ready for this weekend's major snowstorm.
They say after the storm winds down to go and shovel your neighborhood fire hydrants.
If the hydrant is buried in the snow, firefighters won't be able to find it in case of an emergency.
They ask for you to shovel a 3-foot radius around the hydrant and clear entirely to the street.
