Police say a 16-year-old teen from Bridgeport is facing charges in the fatal moped accident on Post Road near South Benson Road.

They say 25-year-old Juan Otilio Tista Tista from Bridgeport died after his moped was struck on June 21.

Officers say 16-year-old Antony Gutierrez Silva was operating the vehicle that struck Tista Tista, who was operating the moped. Police say the teen is being charged as an adult.

They say Gutierrez Silva fled the scene of the accident.

Gutierrez Silva's charges include negligent homicide, evading responsibility resulting in death and driving without a license.
