Residents in Fairfield can learn how to save someone from an opioid overdose thanks to a new program that begins today.
Fairfield CARES says each participant, 18 or older, will receive a free Narcan kit after completing the 90-minute training.
The workshops will be held at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The coalition says just like everyone should learn the Heimlich maneuver and CPR, everyone should know how to administer naloxone to reverse a potentially fatal opioid overdose.
