The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is encouraging people to shop local with a unique gift card program intended to help businesses still feeling the effects of the pandemic.
Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Beverly Balaz says the E-gift card program is easy to use.
Balaz says those interested in participating can log on to the Chamber's website.
She says cards can be purchased online and gifted via text message or email. The recipients can then use the money at around 75 participating businesses in Fairfield.
The program was put in place October of last year. Since then, the community has purchased $76,000 worth of E-gift cards.
