A Fairfield couple is offering a way to dispose of Christmas trees if your town doesn't offer free pickups and it all benefits a local charity.
Paul and Natalie Ruscito own and operate Ruscito Resolutions. The two came up with the idea to pick up Christmas trees for charity last year and now it's an annual tradition.
The couple charges $20 for the service and a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Fairfield nonprofit group Operation Hope. In addition to the fee, the couple is also asking for donations of canned goods to help Operation Hope's food pantry.
The Ruscitos say they picked up around 200 trees last year and donated $1,000 to Operation Hope.
Paul Ruscito says he has been working with Operation Hope since he was a teen.
Ruscito Resolutions is collecting Christmas trees in Fairfield and surrounding communities through January 16. To schedule a tree pickup, call or text Paul Ruscito at 203-767-1582 or email - paul@ruscitoresolutions.com.
