Fairfield Prep hockey wins Division I State Championship over NDWH

The Jesuits defeated Notre Dame-West Haven 3-0 in Wednesday's Division I State Championship game behind 42 saves from senior goaltender James Heber.

Not one, but two titles for the Fairfield Prep Boys Ice Hockey team in 2022-2023.
The Jesuits defeated Notre Dame-West Haven 3-0 in Wednesday's Division I State Championship game behind 42 saves from senior goaltender James Heber.
The game took place in front of a packed house at M&T Bank Arena on the campus of Quinnipiac University.
The Southern Connecticut Conference champs got on the board early with a goal in the first period. Then late in the second, Blake Baksay made it 2-0 Fairfield Prep with a beautiful unassisted goal.
The Jesuits went on to hold Notre Dame-West Haven scoreless in the third en route to the school's 19th State Championship, the most of any program in Connecticut.
Prep finishes the season on a nine-game winning streak. It's final record was 18-6-0.
