Fairfield robbery attempt foiled
Fairfield police are investigating an attempted robbery. It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Cumberland Farms on the Post Road. The cashier says a man came in and asked for two cartons of cigarettes.

Fairfield police are investigating an attempted robbery.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Cumberland Farms on the Post Road.
The cashier says a man came in and asked for two cartons of cigarettes.
She says he tried to grab the cartons out of her hand, scratched her and ran off without taking anything.
