Fairfield University hosted a ribbon-cutting for its new building at 1720 Post Road in downtown Fairfield.
The new building, called The Post, will serve as the home for Fairfield's Center for Social Impact, the Center for Arts & Minds and for members of the marketing, communications and advancement staff.
Officials say each department plays a critical role in fostering community development.
"Our center for social impact is dedicated to community-engaged learning and research," says Christine Siegel, Provost Fairfield University. "Through its programs, we partner with local nonprofits to address pressing social issues and support community development."
