Officials say that "Clam Jam," Fairfield University's biggest party of the year, is going to be taken down a notch.
This year, the school is taking over and the local police are also getting involved. Officials say the party often leads to property damage to homes and arrests for drunken behavior.
Police are not allowing underclassmen to attend the party in order to restrict underage drinking.
They are also moving the party to Penfield Beach, a smaller location, so it will be easier to control and prevent students from wandering out into the neighborhood.
