Family and friends gathered Tuesday to say their final goodbye to a Milford woman who was killed last week in a car accident.
The funeral for Jill Cowperthwaite was held at Christ the Redeemer Church. Her friends remember her as a fun-loving, caring person who always kept those around her laughing. Cowperthwaite graduated from Foran High School in 2005.
The 20-year-old died last Thursday night when the car she was driving crashed into a utility pole on New Haven Avenue. Three other people in the car were not seriously injured. Police say speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
