A judge has denied bond for a New Jersey woman accused of killing a newlywed bride when she drunkenly slammed her Toyota Camry into a golf cart in South Carolina, killing a bride hours after she got married.

The bride, Samantha Miller, died and her newlywed husband, Aric Hutchinson, was injured in the crash. Police say Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, rear-ended their golf cart on April 28 as they were leaving their reception.

The bride's parents gave emotional testimony as part of a bond hearing and said Komoroski is “a danger to the community.”

“I wouldn't want anybody else to go through this, Lisa Miller, the bride's mother, said in court. “She didn't just kill my daughter. She killed all of us."

Attorneys for Komoroski had sought a $100,000 bond under the conditions that she attend a rehabilitation program, remain under her mother’s supervision and forgo access to a vehicle or alcohol. They argued that she did not pose a community danger or flight risk. They also noted her lack of prior criminal history and strong family support.

“I never get to see my daughter again,” Bradley Warner, the bride’s father, said in court. “When, if and when she does get sentenced after she does her time, she'll have the rest of her life with her family,” Miller said.

A judge denied bond for Komoroski, and she will stay in jail. She's charged with reckless homicide and felony DUI.
