Family members of the Bronx man killed by an off-duty police officer met with the district attorney Monday to demand justice.
Police say Officer Raphael Lora shot Fermin Arzu after a traffic incident approximately three weeks ago. According to police, Arzu drove off after hitting several parked cars before the shooting. The incident occurred in the Longwood section of the Bronx.
Since the shooting, Arzu?s family has been demanding justice for his death. Family members and attorneys met with the district attorney to discuss the case. They are questioning Lora?s use of deadly force, and they say they would like to see him prosecuted.
Family members and lawyers are not providing any details about the investigation and the progress of the case. However, they say they are grateful that the district attorney is reaching out to them.
