The family of a Bridgeport store clerk who was shot to death earlier this year is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
Hakeem Joseph, 32, was gunned down at T-Market on Reservoir Avenue back in March. The incident was captured on the store's surveillance video.
The family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Joseph's killer.
Joseph's family was joined by community leaders, police and Mayor-elect Joe Ganim Wednesday. Ganim says one of his first official acts will be to match the family's reward on behalf of the city, bringing the total amount of rewards offered to $10,000.
As News 12 has reported, Joseph was shot several times, and police say there was nothing in the video to suggest the shooting was part of a robbery. They describe the killing as cold and calculated.
The family says they have confidence that with the reward police will be one step closer to solving the crime.
