A Monroe family is holding a fundraiser this weekend to try and raise money for a diabetes alert dog. Two-year-old Aidan Sgandurra was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. His family needs $20,000 to buy a pooch that would be able to sense Aidan's low blood sugar and alert his parents. The fundraiser will be held Saturday at the Masonic Temple at 133 Beach Road in Fairfield, and will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
