The family of a Bridgeport murder victim spoke to News 12 one day after he was shot and killed.
Police say 24-year-old Raheem Lynch was fatally shot on Main Street early Saturday morning after exiting a night club on Main Street.
News 12 is told a friend drove him to the hospital but he did not survive.
Lynch’s mom told News 12 he graduated from Bridge Academy High School in 2015, then went to automotive school in Florida before returning home to be near his family.
Lynch’s mom says he was a hardworking man whose dream was to give his family a better life.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal met with Lynch’s family and described a proposed multi-billion dollar community-intervention program in hopes to prevent further tragedies.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-576-TIPS.
