A fashion show fundraiser will be held at the Fairfield Public Library on Oct. 8.
Designer Jennifer Butler says she got the idea for the event while trying to return a book. She says she realized the library had to close one Friday every month because the budget was so tight.
Butler and the library director coordinated the show, during which 17 models will have 30 minutes to show off 85 autumn outfits. If successful, the clothes will fly off the rack just in time to make room for the spring show, which will again aim to raise money for the library.
Anyone interested in attending the fashion show can purchase tickets at the library or order them by email.
