A community is coming together to support a Bridgeport father whose two young children were found dead in their mother's East Haven home.
Michael Moore says the house where his children Daaron, 8, and Aleisha, 6, were found was filled with natural gas.
The mourning father held back tears as he spoke before a news conference where he thanked community members for their outreach and support.
Supporters have set up a fundraising website in the children's honor.
Moore says Daaron was a big sports fan and Aleisha excelled in school.
Police say his ex-wife, LeRoya Moore, had tried to commit suicide in the home.
Court records show charges pending against LeRoya Moore for allegedly assaulting her ex-husband.
