FDA recalling oysters from Westport company over norovirus concerns

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a recall of oysters from Norm Bloom & Son harvested from Westport, due to possible norovirus contamination.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a recall of oysters from Norm Bloom & Son harvested from Westport, due to possible norovirus contamination.
The FDA says its also reaching out to notify restaurants and food retailers.
Anyone who purchased oysters from Norm Bloom & Son, with a harvest date of Feb. 20 2024, lot 207, is advised not to eat them.
The FDA says the most common symptoms of norovirus include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain.
