Stamford-based Pitney Bowes has been awarded a $79 million five-year contract by the federal government to produce mailing equipment and supplies.

Stamford-based Pitney Bowes has been awarded a $79 million five-year contract by the federal government to produce mailing equipment and supplies.
The announcement was made Wednesday by Rep. Jim Himes.
Himes says the U.S. General Services Administration awarded Pitney Bowes the contract for mailing equipment, supplies and mailing solutions.
Pitney Bowes employs over 1,000 employees in its Stamford headquarters and Shelton operation.
