Federal funds are on the way to Connecticut to help make sure people who served time don't end up behind bars again.
Bridgeport based nonprofit Career Resources Inc. is getting nearly $5 million in grant money.
Rep. Jim Himes and Sen. Richard Blumenthal were in the Park City Wednesday to make the announcement.
The money will help people find homes and jobs after serving time in an effort to reduce recidivism rates.
"We're going to be helping people in New London, Hartford, Waterbury, Bridgeport, and wherever else they call home," said Rob Hebert, of Career Resources Inc.
Career Resources held a resource fair following the press conference.
