A fire broke out early Sunday morning at the historic Dunellen Hotel in Middlesex County.

Officials said it started with a dryer in the basement.

The Red Cross helped 12 people who were displaced.

The hotel's restaurant-bar, The Rathskeller, is closed.

Owners were working on Sunday to make arrangements for holiday parties that were already booked.
