A fire broke out at a house in Stratford Saturday morning.
Officials say a neighbor alerted the people living at the home on Concord Street.
Authorities say the fire was contained to the porch.
Deputy Chief Michael Hostetter, of the Stratford Fire Department, says the power was disconnected from the house.
"UI is disconnecting the power to the house. We often do that in the event that it was electric in nature, and also in the case of electrical wires getting damaged, and they disconnect the power until an electrician can check it out," he says.
No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
